Bio:

Declan O’Sullivan is Director of Research at the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin, and a Principal Investigator at the €50 Million Science Foundation Ireland/Industry funded ADAPT Centre leading its research on Transparent Digital Governance. He has over 230 publications and individually has secured close to €9 million in competitive research funding.

Data and its relationship with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms, is increasingly dominating the research landscape, as intelligent applications become embedded in our daily lives. My research in techniques that extract, transform and integrate data using graph based approaches, is central to this relationship. People and machines can benefit from these techniques applied to knowledge graphs or linked data or semantic web, for purposes such as data integration, knowledge discovery and in-depth analyses.
