Prof. Rozenn Dahyot is Associate Professor in Statistics in the School of Computer Science and Statistics in Trinity College Dublin. Her major research interests are on robust inference for Image, Video and Audio Processing, amongst others.
Prof. Dahyot received Master degrees in Physics (1998, Telecom Physique Strasbourg) and Image Processing (1998, University Louis Pasteur Strasbourg) in France. Awarded a PhD scholarship in 1998 from the French Ministry of transport, she gained her Ph.D. from the University Louis Pasteur Strasbourg in 2001. From 2002 to 2005, she was a Research Fellow in Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and University of Cambridge (UK) working on multimedia data understanding and video restoration. She is now an Associate Professor in Statistics in Trinity College Dublin. Prof. Dahyot has published 70+ peer reviewed publications and she is leading several research projects, as Coordinator and Principal Investigator, funded by the European Commission and by national agencies in partnership with industries.
Her specific research interests lie between the traditional fields of Electronic and electrical engineering (digital signal processing), Computer Science (computer vision & graphics), artificial intelligence (data mining, machine learning) and Mathematics (statistics, Information theory, decision theory, functional analysis).
